Let the Word lead.
John sees the 144,000 with the Lamb, redeemed and faithful to Him. Read the vision within Revelation’s call to allegiance to Christ.
David confesses his sin against God and asks for cleansing, a renewed heart, and a life that teaches others His ways.
After proclaiming the risen Jesus, Peter calls his hearers to repent and return to God for the forgiveness of their sins.
John calls believers to confess rather than deny their sin, trusting God’s faithfulness to forgive and cleanse through Jesus Christ.
Jesus tells of a father welcoming his returning son and pleading with the resentful older brother, within His teaching about joy over repentance.

A prayer to carry
Father, I have sinned against You and hurt another person with my words. I confess my pride and cruelty. My hope is in Jesus Christ, who died for sins and rose again. Forgive me and cleanse me. By Your Holy Spirit, teach me to put away bitterness, speak truth in love, and make an honest repair. Give me humility to receive correction and obey Your Word. In Jesus' name, amen.
